Towards Stronger Cybersecurity with an Open-Source Solution
Cyberismo is developing a new way to manage information security and has created an open-source solution that makes security management in software development easier and more efficient. Pareto has been involved in the product development. "We have received exactly what we hoped for from Pareto. Everything has gone very well, and we have been extremely satisfied with the collaboration," summarizes Henry Haverinen, Cyberismo's security consultant and one of the co-founders.
As the project progressed and there was a need to expand the software development team, Cyberismo turned to Pareto. "We wanted to maintain our own software development capability but complement it with partners. From Pareto, we have received support flexibly as needed, since in startups the need for development resources varies," Haverinen explains.
The project has shown that positive surprises are also possible in product development. "The project has gone well and even exceeded expectations. We have achieved a more advanced solution than we initially thought would even be realistic," Haverinen says.
We have received exactly what we hoped for from Pareto. Everything has gone very well, and we have been extremely satisfied with the collaboration.

The Collaboration Continues Toward the Next Development Phases
Following its release, the solution has received positive and encouraging feedback from customers. The collaboration continues, and based on customer feedback, the next development phase is already underway. The current focus is on a SaaS version that is more scalable and even easier to adopt.
The solution already includes a rule-based AI engine. In addition, the possibilities of artificial intelligence are being explored more broadly as part of the solution. "The initial results from leveraging language model-based AI are promising. Together with Pareto, we can also consider how language model-based AI should be practically integrated into this solution," Haverinen continues.
Haverinen highlights strong collaboration and smooth day-to-day cooperation as key factors behind the project's success. This is echoed by Pareto's Samu Toljamo, who was involved in the project. "This has been a really enjoyable project. Collaboration and communication with the Cyberismo team have been easy and pleasant throughout the entire project."
Haverinen also encourages others planning similar projects to trust younger professionals as well. "It is worth giving young experts a chance too. You do not always necessarily need a so-called Senior Developer. Younger developers can also be highly skilled, quick learners, and very effective. At least for us, this has been an excellent and worthwhile solution," Haverinen concludes.
